Translator Network

Our fast-moving industry means we have to constantly anticipate future demands in order to be ready to face customer requests. When starting work with new clients, new product lines, new language pairs or unplanned projects, the vendor manager’s role is to create and develop a pool of new referenced resources that are ready and prepared to start at any time.

Ic.Doc’s vendor manager does not simply “look for new translators”, choosing from among several thousand translators listed in various databases, or advertising on the Internet. Our vendor manager adheres to the company’s global strategy, and anticipates future needs.

Thanks to a well-organized selection process, which includes a definition of the business areas, subject matters, main language combinations and types of services that need to be covered, the best resources are selected. The regular check of all translators, and information like translator's immediate availability, specialisations, previous jobs are all tracked and traced in Ic.Doc's proprietary vendor management system.

Selection Process

  • Preselection based on CV, specialisation and language combination
  • Test translation (different areas) + evaluation
  • Classification of the new translator as Junior or Senior
  • Intense monitoring during the 1st year introduction stage

Constant Checks

  • Regular check of all active translators, regardless of their classification
