This is undeniably the most important phase. Every aspect of the project needs to be analysed carefully together with our language technology engineers, in order to identify and address any potential problems in advance, thereby reducing the likelihood of encountering costly problems downstream in the process. Once all aspects have been clarified, a project kick-off meeting will be arranged.
The translation of E-learning modules requires a great deal of care and expertise. The text is often translated out of context, and this means it is essential that translators receive as much background information about the project as possible. Terminology databases and references are a must.
Once translation is complete the texts are subjected to a Quality Assurance test to ensure coherent terminology and translations.
If multimedia files are involved, during postprocessing all contents (audio, video, interactive) will be recreated in the original format. The resulting files will undergo quality control and validation checks in the same way as the rest of the content.
The validation process is an important stage of the project. Depending on the project type and content, we will help you identify the optimum workflow. By way of an example, draft files may be uploaded by you, and then we may access the e-learning platform for a review of the translated text in its actual environment. At the same time, designated reviewers on your side may be provided with the texts to check the appropriateness and accuracy of style and terminology.
After implementation of any change requests, the translation memories are updated and stored, ready to be used for any new versions of the e-learning modules. The final files are delivered to the client.
